Although, some see Quarrying as part of local heritage what you don’t remember is the negative effect they have on the environment. A quarry can have multiple impacts on the environment, including visual intrusion, dust, damaged landscape, loss of land and a deterioration in water quality. Since changes within the industry, many quarry companies have worked to make sure they are restoring the land of previous quarries, for producing crop yields, agriculture land and woodlands. The images I have produced show the magnitude of the industrial side to a quarry and how they disrupt the landscape surrounding it.
