Maisie’s work is a street piece which engages with themes surrounding empowerment. She photographed fashion students at the University of Lincoln, those that had a certain energy to represent that women can empower themselves and feel good about themselves without needing anyone to do it for them. Maisie took inspiration from fashion photographers, Tommy Ton and Bill Cunningham, their certain aesthetic style is reminiscent in her work because of this. Her work aims to empower women who may or may not relate to the subject since she wants people to feel good in their own skin and wear what they want without caring what others think.
