This body of work explores the impact of photography on social media and the selfie in the digital age. Focusing to the theme of the disruption of technology. Looking into social issues surrounding the selfie. The photos show how we must document an event with a selfie or always having to document or take a picture as a way of social acceptance and acknowledgement.  The selfie has become an automatic concept in which society has just become used to taking a photo of ourselves at any point, it has almost become a part of our normal routines.  The selfie is used to prove a social life and document an event or part as a routine in the whole culture around going out. This series captures several situations where a “selfie” is taken automatically. The selfie can come with negative connotations, as a way for self-acceptance and a confidence boost from large amounts of attention received from it online.
